1 week tour of Kerala
Day 1
|
Pick up at Kochi Airport, stay overnight at Fort Kochi.

Day 2
|
Depart for Munnar - overnight stay.
|
Day 3
|
visit tea gardens. Depart to Rajamalai to see South India's only mountain goat,the nilgiri tahr.

Day 4
|
Arrive at Villa Prakriti. Local sight seeing including organic spice
garden visit, elephant ride, Periyar Tiger Reserve programmes including
boat ride at Periyar, Visit Gavi (optional)

Day 6
|
Leave for Alleppey early morning and do the ferry trip around Vembanad lake. Leave for Fort Kochi after boat ride.

Day 7
|
Shopping at Fort Kochi and sight seeing including Jewish Quarter, Jewish synagogue, Chinese fishing nets and dinner.

Day 8
|
Airport transfer.

2 week tour of Kerala including wildlife.

Birding in Thekkady

From October till mid March species count is higher with migrant populations and climatic conditions being drier with more light falling in through the forest canopy.
The Periyar Lake and the surrounding evergreen forest offer roughly 230 species of birds including important migrants like the Indian Pitta which appears soon after the major South West monsoon.
